But none of them ever reached one. There was always a small opening, a subtle flaw, a point where new units could be created or rules could be bent just enough. And from that small gap everything else followed slowly and consistently. Productivity began to be extracted instead of preserved, signals became distorted and people started reacting to symptoms instead of causes while the structure itself remained unquestioned.

Sixty three over sixty four is not failure, it is something more dangerous. It is a system that works just enough to be trusted and just poorly enough to be exploited. It creates the illusion of stability while quietly redirecting value over time. And because the gap is small, it is almost invisible at first, only becoming obvious after its effects have compounded across years and generations.

What ancient Egyptian mythology quietly suggests is that the final fraction cannot be completed from within the same structure that produced the first sixty three parts. A society cannot consistently deliver fairness, stability and long term progress if the thing it uses to measure value does not remain stable. This is not a matter of political preference. It is a structural constraint. If the measure changes, everything built on top become distorted.

If we want different outcomes, the starting point is simple. We need a measure that does not change. Money that no one can create more of. A common reference where earning, saving and planning are not quietly undermined.

People value the future more because their savings connect present effort with future benefit. This naturally improves our relationship with nature, with resources and with each other.

All of this comes from using an honest measure of value. Any measurement tool must have a fixed reference. What we have today is a system where privileged groups can create more units of the measurement tool for their own benefit. This extracts wealth, productivity and stability from those who produce and redirects it to those who control issuance.

This is not difficult to understand, but it is difficult to accept. We have never lived under a system with a perfectly reliable measure of value. When the money itself cannot be expanded, the gains from productivity no longer get absorbed by those who create new units. Instead, they flow to everyone through lower prices. Better technology begins to reduce the cost of living for all, not raise it, and the benefits of progress are no longer diverted.

This change extends beyond economics into behavior and perception. Today people feel pressure to spend quickly because their money loses value over time, which leads to reactive consumption and short term thinking. When money preserves or increases its value, this dynamic reverses. People slow down, choose more carefully and consume with intention. Demand gradually shifts toward quality instead of quantity and production follows this signal, resulting in goods that last longer and carry more meaning.

Over time the environment around us changes as a consequence. These are not abstract models but observable outcomes that can be recognized by how life presents itself.

What separates these two worlds is not culture, ideology or human nature. It is the monetary standard. When money can be created by governments or privileged groups the signals that guide cooperation break down. Prices become distorted, savings lose value and the cost of living rises. Economic anxiety spreads. Poverty persists even in productive societies. When the unit used to measure value is constantly diluted the effort of millions of people is quietly extracted.

This reality has consequences far beyond economics. Much of everyday human stress comes from rising costs, financial insecurity and the struggle to maintain stability in a system where money itself is fraudulent.

Yet many modern spiritual movements speak endlessly about human suffering while ignoring this structural cause. They offer explanations about collective consciousness, energetic imbalances, karmic lessons, planetary transitions or vibrational shifts, while remaining almost completely ignorant about the monetary system that governs everyday economic life and robs everyone.

The result is a strange contradiction. Many of these movements claim to analyze the roots of human problems with great depth. They speak about hidden structures of power and systemic injustice. But when the discussion reaches the system of money itself the analysis is absent. Instead of identifying one of the most powerful mechanisms generating instability, they circle around the symptoms. In English we might say they are “stating the obvious” or “preaching to the choir,” repeating interpretations that never reach the underlying structure.

For those who understand the role of money this absence becomes impossible to ignore. When Bitcoin thinkers read modern spiritual discourse, it often feels like watching intelligent observers examine the surface of a problem while overlooking the mechanism producing it. Humanity has always searched for a form of money that cannot be manipulated, expanded or controlled by any authority. Without such a tool, cooperation remains vulnerable to distortion.

A monetary system that cannot be expanded by anyone changes the entire environment of human life. When the measuring unit of value remains honest, the signals guiding cooperation become clearer. Long term planning becomes possible. Savings maintain their meaning. Much of the permanent economic anxiety dominating modern life disappears. In such a world many of the tensions that spiritual movements try to interpret would be dramatically reduced.

This does not make spirituality unnecessary. It makes it more relevant. Freed from constantly reacting to problems amplified by fraudulent money, spiritual traditions could turn their attention to deeper questions about meaning, wisdom and human flourishing. Instead of explaining symptoms created by a distorted system, they could explore the higher dimensions of human life that spirituality has always claimed to illuminate.

For that reason an invitation is worth making. Spiritual teachers, thinkers and communities around the world should examine the monetary structure that surrounds them. Study the history of money. Study why societies repeatedly searched for forms of money that could not be expanded. Study the possibility that a monetary system beyond manipulation may remove a large portion of the suffering that spiritual traditions attempt to interpret.

Ignoring this question leaves a blind spot at the center of modern spiritual thinking. Confronting it could open an entirely new chapter in humanity’s search for truth.

Last night I had dinner with one or two glasses of wine and during the early morning I began to get a headache. My body no longer tolerates alcohol and this happens often. Trying to fall asleep with the pain that night, I felt a deep empathy for other people’s suffering and thought of the children killed by a missile strike in Iran; how much pain they themselves suffered and how much pain their parents and relatives still feel…

In the past two weeks I myself have been involved in protecting two children, but not of the human kind: a pair of little birds. A couple of sparrows nested in my backyard and my dog, irrational as she is, could kill the chicks that fall to the ground when they are learning to fly and I did not want that to happen. So I spent those two weeks protecting them from the dog until they could mature and leave to the world, flying to their fate as free birds. And it worked.

I also, in my profession, take care of people and help save and improve lives, so the idea of harming human life is completely alien to me. While caring for the nestlings these two weeks, I witnessed the parents’ love as they protected them, fed them and stayed close to supervise their development.

But can anyone justify or even excuse children being killed by a missile? That is incompatible with any kind of rationality, any supposed civilized state and not even compatible with what nature shows us in the love that even the simplest animals have for their offspring. How did we come to a point of considering that a possible side effect of a war, whatever the cause or intent? Without losing sleep, as I did…

In a previous article we discussed the main incentives for this and other wars happening, which are primarily to feed the profits of the financial and military industries. The first lives off creating more money and the second lives off narratives of fear and conflict to justify spending on it. Such spending, in turn, requires even more money to be created to pay for it.

But the main question is how our societies reached or remain at such a low moral level. We think countries like the U.S., those in Europe, Russia, China, Israel, Iran, etc. are “civilized,” yet this and other atrocities are systematically carried out by governments in these countries under various pretexts.

The answer lies in distorted incentive structures that produce this barbarity. A world that runs on a monetary system where those in power can create more money, which is itself a fraud, while the natural state of a true free market under a non-expandable money would improve the cost of living for everyone, forces that system to invest the excess created money in ways that hide the truth about the origins of poverty and economic conflict and justify the perpetual creation of more fraudulent money.

So diverse and opposing ideologies are promoted about how to solve the social problems caused by the fraudulent money: capitalism, socialism, centrism, communism, liberalism, libertarianism… Divergences, often fabricated, are reinforced between religions and other customs and traditions to keep people embroiled in conflict: Christian, Islamic, Jewish sectarianism, atheism, etc., often influencing governments. Opposing sides create hostile countries and regions. New customs and lifestyles are exaggerated to contrast with older ones and provoke social debate. These debates and conflicts are amplified by the media as if they were natural features of “civilization”, but in truth they are products of the monetary distortion we all live under, creating the greatest human problem — poverty — which is then reinforced for the convenience of maintaining that distortion.

The solutions proposed by those involved in these debates inevitably require ever more money to be created continuously to fund them, benefiting banks and the global financial industry. Politicians and mainstream media are the channels through which these narratives spread: politicians because power and its rewards are their trade; the media because it’s addicted to this dynamic and survives on the attention these debates generate. We cannot expect these actors to recognize and disentangle themselves from this reality, since they are integral parts of the fraud.

Thus our so-called “civilization” remains uncivilized and truly immoral, and atrocities, such as the deaths of children by missiles or the deaths of millions of young people in wars like Ukraine’s, continue generation after generation.

The solution, however, might simply be to stop accepting the fraudulent money.

Memorize that solution; it will help us all sleep better and, most importantly, prevent more and more innocents from becoming victims of our “civilization”.

I have studied the philosophy of Seicho-No-Ie for many years and this reflection is inspired by it. Seicho-No-Ie teaches that behind the world perceived by the senses there exists the True Image of Life, the perfect reality created by God. Human creativity would continually improve production. Technology would bring abundance. As knowledge increases, the cost of living would tend to fall rather than rise. People would be able to save the fruits of their work and build security for their families. Economic life would feel stable and meaningful instead of anxious and unstable.

In such a world, consumption would be thoughtful rather than frantic, because saving is possible. People would choose quality and durability. They would plan their lives calmly instead of rushing to spend before their savings lose value. Human ingenuity would reduce waste and improve efficiency. The relationship between humanity and nature would be one of respect and stewardship rather than panic and extraction (no, Bitcoin is not bad for the environment). The natural direction of progress would be harmony between technology, nature and human well being.

This vision of the True Image is not abstract spirituality. It has clear economic implications. A world of harmony and cooperation requires an honest way to measure value and coordinate production. If the unit used to measure economic life can be created in greater quantity by a privileged minority, then the signals that guide human cooperation become distorted. Prices stop reflecting reality. Savings lose meaning. Wealth concentrates artificially. Poverty persists even when human productivity is capable of abundance. Conflicts grow because the measuring instrument itself has been corrupted.

If we follow the Seicho-No-Ie principle that only what is created by God truly exists, we arrive at an important conclusion. In the True Image of Life, the world would not be coordinated by a monetary unit that can be arbitrarily created and expanded by those in power. Such a system would contradict harmony and justice. In the true world, the measure of value must be honest, stable and equal for everyone. It must be a form of money that no one can control and no one can create more of for their own benefit.

This is where Bitcoin becomes relevant. Bitcoin describes the natural behavior of an economy when it operates under an honest monetary unit. It is a system in which the total number of units cannot be expanded by governments, banks or institutions. No authority can manipulate its supply. No privileged group can dilute the savings of others. For the first time in history humanity has discovered a monetary unit with perfectly limited quantity.

When the measure of value becomes honest, the natural direction of prosperity becomes visible again. As human knowledge grows and technology improves production, prices tend to fall rather than rise. The benefits of innovation spread through society instead of being captured through monetary expansion. Savings gain strength instead of being eroded. The harmony described by spiritual traditions begins to appear not only in philosophy but also in economic life.

In Seicho-No-Ie there is a daily meditation practice called Shinsokan, in which practitioners contemplate the True Image of Life and visualize a world of harmony, peace and abundance. If humanity understood the True Image of global economic life, this visualization would include something very concrete. It would include a single honest measure of value coordinating human activity across the planet. A decentralized monetary system that no authority can manipulate and that allows the fruits of human creativity to benefit everyone.

The invention of Satoshi Nakamoto contributed something remarkable in this direction. We do not know whether Satoshi was truly Japanese, but the discovery resonates deeply with the philosophy of Seicho-No-Ie. Humanity has long searched for an honest measure of value that could support cooperation across the entire planet. Bitcoin may represent the first practical step toward that discovery.

Studying this seriously and without superficiality may be part of a deeper human mission. If the True Image of Life is a world of harmony, abundance and wisdom, then manifesting that reality in society requires aligning our economic structures with truth. An honest measure of value allows human ingenuity to reveal what many spiritual traditions have always pointed toward: a world where prosperity expands naturally and the fruits of human creativity are shared by all.

I hope that many students and practitioners of Seicho-No-Ie will study Bitcoin with the same openness with which I study the teachings of Masaharu Taniguchi. Not with the expectation of becoming rich, but without prejudice and with the sincere intention of understanding whether this discovery can benefit the greatest number of people and contribute to the prosperity of all humanity.

The current war between Iran, Israel and the United States is presented to the public as a clash of security interests and ancient rivalries. Yet the deeper structure behind it is monetary. Modern governments operate within a flawed monetary system where money can be created through credit expansion and central banking. Iran offers a clear example of how this system evolves. The Islamic Revolution of 1979 followed decades of monetary instability under the Shah, where rapid expansion of money fueled inflation, corruption and social frustration. At the global level another set of incentives operates simultaneously. The military industry depends on continuous demand for weapons systems, logistics and replenishment of munitions. The financial industry benefits from the enormous issuance of government debt required to fund these activities. When enemies exist and conflicts persist, defense budgets expand and the creation of new money flows through the financial system.

Fiat money makes this dynamic possible because wars no longer need to be financed through immediate taxation. Governments can borrow vast sums and expand the money supply while the population continues daily life without seeing the full cost. The real bill appears later through inflation, currency depreciation and rising costs of living. This delayed cost structure removes one of the strongest natural barriers that historically limited wars.

Over decades the debt created by this system has to grow faster than the productivity gains of the economy, which would naturally cause deflation. When debts become too large to repay, the system requires a reset. Periods of major conflict have repeatedly served this role in modern history. War allows governments to justify massive spending, rapid monetary expansion and eventual restructuring or dilution of debts that would otherwise be politically impossible.

Political leaders across the world operate inside this framework. Governments in the United States, Europe, Russia, Ukraine, China, Israel, Iran and many others participate in a structure where military spending and debt issuance reinforce each other. The narratives presented to populations focus on security and ideology, yet the financial architecture quietly channels enormous resources toward defense industries and the institutions that finance government borrowing.

The costs of these wars are never paid by the institutions that benefit from them. They are paid by society through inflation and declining purchasing power. Citizens eventually experience the consequences through higher prices, weaker currencies and a gradual erosion of living standards. Meanwhile media coverage never explains the monetary mechanism behind these outcomes, leaving populations unaware that the cost of war is already being transferred to them through the currency itself.

Understanding the monetary incentives behind the Iran war reveals a different picture of modern conflict. When money can be created without hard limits the economic restraint on war disappears. In such a system prolonged peace becomes structurally difficult because the expansion of credit and money must continue. Without it the entire debt based structure begins to collapse.

We are constantly told that scarcity is natural and that poverty has always existed. We are told that greed is simply human nature. But these explanations avoid a more uncomfortable question. What if the persistent feeling of shortage is not caused by lack of resources, but by the very tool that coordinates the system?

Money is the tool used to coordinate production and exchange. Every price is expressed in units of money. Even if we do not see it directly, the total amount of money in existence is the denominator of all prices. When society becomes more productive and produces more goods and services, the natural outcome should be that things become cheaper over time, provided the amount of money does not increase. More production measured against a fixed supply of money leads to lower prices. The problem begins when new money can be created at will. If the money supply keeps expanding, prices tend to rise instead of fall and the benefits of productivity disappear. For an economy to reflect real progress, the monetary unit itself must not be expandable.

However, in the current global system, we use an expandable money which is created continuously by central and commercial banks. This new money does not appear evenly in everyone’s hands. It enters through specific channels such as government spending, financial institutions and credit expansion. Those who receive it first can spend it before prices adjust. Those who receive it later face higher prices without having benefited from the initial expansion.

This process changes incentives across the entire economy. Savings lose purchasing power over time. Long term planning becomes more difficult. Individuals and companies are pushed toward debt and short term strategies. Instead of allowing technological progress to reduce costs for everyone, the expansion of money extracts much of the productivity gains.

The result is a constant perception of scarcity. Even in a world of rising productivity, households feel pressure. Wages struggle to keep pace with living costs. Housing, education and healthcare become increasingly expensive relative to income. Poverty persists not because society cannot produce enough, but because the tool used to distribute that production is being defrauded.

In such an environment, behavior that looks like greed is often defensive. When money loses value, accumulating assets becomes a way to protect purchasing power. When the unit is unstable, competition intensifies because holding money itself becomes risky. The system encourages extraction, even through wars, instead of cooperation.

If the monetary unit were fixed in supply, productivity gains would directly translate into lower costs over time for everyone. Savings would retain value. Planning horizons would extend. The structural pressure that feeds perceived scarcity would diminish.
